Artifacts are easy to forget about when you're busy upgrading your weapons and armor. But once you find one that actually fits your build, it can make certain fights a lot easier. You don't need to use whatever artifact has the biggest effect. Just find something you'll actually get some use out of.
Pick Artifacts That Fit Your Build
Think about what your character already does well. If you're using a melee build, an artifact that helps when you're surrounded can be really useful.
If you're playing from a distance, you might get more out of something that keeps enemies away or gives you another way to deal damage. There's no reason to use an artifact that doesn't fit how you normally play.
Cover a Weakness
Artifacts can also fix something your build is missing. If your weapon is good against single targets but struggles with groups, use an artifact that can deal with several enemies at once.
If groups aren't a problem, you can focus on something that helps against tougher enemies instead. Sometimes fixing a weakness is more useful than adding even more damage to something you're already good at.
Know When to Use It
Don't feel like you have to use an artifact every time it's ready. If a group of weak enemies is already easy to handle, there's no reason to waste your strongest ability on them.
Save it for a situation where you actually need it. This matters even more in harder fights where having an artifact ready at the right moment can save you.
