When you’re playing a Mage in Minecraft Dungeons II, it’s not so much about stacking damage as it is about knowing how to use your spells. You want to have a good amount of damage to kill enemies quickly, but you also need to survive and not run out of resources at the worst possible time.
Focus on Spell Damage
Look for gear that gives you more spell damage or improves the abilities that you actually use first. You're going to be doing most of the work with your spells, so there is not a lot of reason to build around regular weapon damage unless you want a more mixed playstyle.
