When you have all the parts, go to an anvil and craft the grappling hook. If you lack sufficient Iron or Lead, obtain some ore and convert it to bars first.

Using the Grapping Hook

Put the Grappling Hook in your hotbar, point at a surface nearby and press the button to use. The surface will catch the hook and pull your character toward it. This can help you climb, bridge gaps or stop a fall. The basic Grappling Hook can only hook to one location. Stronger hooks can shoot out more than one hook.
