Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 is coming to PC soon, so is it really going to be worth it?

Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 is coming to PC in just a few days. As the Spider-Man franchise has grown over the past years, fans wonder if the game will be a good investment or a waste of time.

Let’s backtrack a little. On January 24, 2025, we learned that Marvel’s Spider-Man 3 game might be under development. Marvel’s Spider-Man 3 is the game that most closely matches this description among those that Insomniac Games is reportedly working on at present. After all, Marvel’s Wolverine has allegedly been in development for some time, and the latest information indicates that everything is going according to plan despite a few little setbacks.

However, in 2023, there were rumors that Insomniac Games had leaked details regarding a Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 half-sequel that was scheduled to debut this year and featured Venom as the primary playable character. Given these rumors, it appears unlikely that Venom game production will start anytime soon. A recent Insomniac job opening mentions an upcoming 2027 title that is presently in the planning phases.

Now that Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 is getting released on PC, it’s definitely a big move by Insomniac. The game was released two years ago, but I believe it will run relatively smoothly on a PC. It is a pretty good game with a big brand. The first Marvel’s Spider-Man has an overwhelmingly positive response on Steam, and we’re hoping the same for the second game. Let’s see.
