After 10 years, Geralt’s saga might not be over yet, as rumors point to new The Witcher 3 content from former CD Projekt Red devs.

Until recently, The Witcher 3 got one of the biggest updates in a decade, which included a feature that will resemble the PC version of the game on the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S players as a part of their 10-year celebration. Later on, we got another leak claiming that we might get a new DLC.

As we already know.  It’s been ten years since The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt first wowed RPG fans all over the world.  Although it was released in May 2015, this critically acclaimed role-playing game is still regarded by many as one of the best ever.  Many people thought that Geralt of Rivia’s story was over after years of add-ons, updates, and dedicated fan support.  But new rumors say that’s not true.

A rumor says that a third DLC for The Witcher 3 is being made.  Unlike previous expansions made by CD Projekt Red, this new content is said to be handled by Fool’s Theory, a studio made up of former CD Projekt Red developers, such as quest designer Kuba Jankowski, who played a big role in shaping the story of the original game.

This possible third DLC would follow the well-received Hearts of Stone and Blood and Wine expansions, which were praised for their engaging stories and enjoyable gameplay.  The rumored release date is 2026, which puts it ahead of both the highly anticipated Witcher 4 and the full remake of the first Witcher game, which are both still in the early stages of development.

CD Projekt Red hasn’t officially confirmed the project yet, but several sources have reported that it’s true. The recent news that the developer is adding more mod support to all platforms indicates that they are still investing in The Witcher 3, which suggests that the company still has a strong affinity for the series.

People who have played The Witcher before and those who have never played it before might find this news exciting and want to return to his world.  It is still not clear if the new DLC will continue Geralt’s story or introduce new characters, but fans of The Witcher should keep an eye out for new adventures in the world of the game.
