Join up with your friends or other players in Co-Op Mode to explore the world, defeat bosses and clear domains together. However, this feature is not available when you start the game. So, how do you unlock Co-Op Mode in Genshin Impact?
Reach Adventure Rank 16
Co-Op Mode is easy to unlock. All you need to do is get to Adventure Rank 16. You can earn Adventure EXP by completing Archon Quests, World Quests, Daily Commissions, opening chests and exploring Teyvat. Most players will hit Adventure Rank 16 after a few hours of normal play.
Finish the Anemo Archon Missions
The first story quests in the game are of the Anemo Archon. You will meet Venti and mainly do the quests in the Anemo Kingdom of Mondstadt. You will meet multiple playable characters along the way that will help you with the quests.
Complete Early Story Quests
Once you reach Adventure Rank 16, follow the main Archon Quests. These missions will teach you the game's mechanics, unlock important features and give you a lot of Adventure EXP. You'll also level up faster by doing the starting zones and unlocking Teleport Waypoints.
Commence Co-Op Gameplay Through the Menu
Simply reach Adventure Rank 16 and the Paimon Menu will unlock the Co-Op option automatically. You can then look for other players by UID, invite your friends to your world, or ask to join someone else’s world. Your World Level also dictates which players you can team up with.
Clarifications of Co-Op Limitations
Not all activities support multiplayer. Some story quests, some events, and some domains make you play solo until Co-Op is back online. Additionally, players can only join Worlds that are the same or lower World Level than their own.
Once you hit Adventure Rank 16, you can play Genshin Impact with friends. The Co-Op Mode enhances the fun of the adventure, whether you’re farming bosses, collecting resources or just exploring together.
