Here's how to destroy Auto Turrets while raiding in Rust.
Auto Turrets are one of the most dangerous obstacles during a raid in Rust. They fire with perfect accuracy and never miss a shot once locked on. This makes taking them down from a safe distance the priority before pushing any further into a base.
Finding higher ground before engaging makes every method below far more consistent. Shooting from a level position works too, but missed shots become more likely, which wastes valuable explosives and ammo. Elevation gives a cleaner angle and more room for error.

Incendiary Rockets
Incendiary Rockets deal heavy fire damage over time once they connect with a turret. Despite what some sources claim about needing only one, two to three direct hits are usually required in practice. The exact number depends heavily on how clean the hit is.
These rockets also have a noticeable drop compared to other rocket types. Aiming slightly above the turret compensates for this and improves the odds of a direct hit. A Rocket Launcher is required to fire them, so that needs to be crafted or found beforehand.
Since missed shots are common while adjusting to the drop and finding the right angle, bringing more rockets than the expected number is a smart precaution. Running out mid-raid over a missed shot or two can end an otherwise successful attempt.
High Velocity Rockets
HV Rockets are a more consistent and cost-effective alternative to incendiary rockets. Around three direct hits typically bring a turret down, and unlike incendiary rockets, they have very little drop to account for. This makes aiming a lot simpler.
Regular rockets work too, but they're pricier and take four hits instead of three, so HV Rockets end up being the better pick for most raiders - cheaper and more reliable for this specific job.

Fire Arrows
Fire Arrows are the cheapest way to destroy a turret, though also the slowest by a wide margin. A Compound Bow is the ideal weapon for this method, paired with roughly 58 direct-hit arrows to bring the turret down completely. A Hunting Bow can work too if a Compound Bow isn't available, though it's a less ideal choice for this method.
Since fire arrows are inexpensive to craft in bulk, bringing extra beyond the expected number is worth doing. Missed shots or slightly off-center hits can push the total well past 58, so having a surplus avoids running out mid-attempt.
It's also a lot quieter than explosives, which matters if staying undetected is more important than getting it done fast.

Satchel Charges
If circling around to the back of a turret is possible, Satchel Charges offer another reliable option. Four charges are typically needed to fully destroy the turret using this method, making it a mid-cost alternative to rockets.
C4 can technically achieve the same result - typically around 2 charges - but it comes at a much higher resource cost for no real added benefit. Satchel charges get the job done at a fraction of the price, making them the smarter pick whenever positioning allows for it.
