Here's how to get the Chinook Locked Crate in Rust.
The Chinook Locked Crate is a world event where a Chinook Helicopter flies across the map and drops a crate at a monument before leaving. Each wipe tends to favor a specific monument for these drops, often one of the blue card locations like Trainyard, Airfield, Power Plant, or Water Treatment Plant, though it isn't locked to the same spot every single time.
Shooting the crate or its computer while hacking is underway resets the timer, so avoiding any accidental damage to it matters just as much as staying alive during the wait.
Starting the Hack
Approach the crate and press E to begin hacking it. The process takes 15 minutes on standard servers, though this can be shortened to 5 or 10 minutes on faster 2x servers.
Once hacking finishes, the crate lights up and you can grab the loot right away. The stuff inside is usually good - weapons, components, the kind of stuff people wait around for in Rust. It's risky, but most of the time it's worth it.

Staying Safe During the Hack
This event gets fought over almost every time in Rust. Once hacking starts, the crate shows up on the map for everyone to see, so people will be heading your way fast. Bring a friend if you can. Defending the spot by yourself is a lot harder than doing it with someone watching your back.
Don't keep walking back and forth to check on the crate. That just gets you killed. Instead, find a spot nearby where you can hide and still watch for people coming in. Rooftops or balconies near the drop tend to work best, since you can see people before they see you.
The crate beeps while it counts down, so you can just listen for that instead of walking over to look. If you can't hear it from where you're hiding, set a timer on your phone instead. That way you can keep your eyes on the area around you instead of worrying about the clock.

Claiming the Loot
When the timer runs out, the crate turns green and makes a sound so you know it's open. Grab everything fast and get moving right after. People might still be closing in even after it's done, so don't stick around longer than you need to - that's how a lot of players lose their loot in Rust.
Radiation is something to think about too, depending on where the crate lands. If it's at somewhere like Launch Site or Military Tunnels, you're dealing with radiation on top of everyone trying to kill you. Bring a Hazmat Suit or some Anti-Rad Pills if you can, so you don't end up losing everything you just grabbed. Rust doesn't go easy on people who aren't ready for that.
