Hytale: How to Find and Explore Dungeons Guide

Here's a quick guide on how to find and explore dungeons in Hytale.

Dungeons are among the more interesting places you can come across while adventuring in Hytale. These can contain enemies, loot, and other things worth finding, but you shouldn’t just walk into one unprepared. A bit of planning will make the whole trip easier.

Search While Exploring

Dungeons will not always be right next door to your base. Walk around the different areas and look for odd structures, entrances or anything that looks different from the surrounding area. The more new places you explore, the more likely you are to find something.

Bring Your Gear

Weapons and armor should be prepared before entering a dungeon. Make sure you've got the gear to handle the enemies you'll be fighting. Before you go, replace or upgrade anything that is damaged beyond repair or underpowered.

Pack Some Supplies

Bring food, healing items, and anything else you would normally use while exploring. Torches can also be handy when you are going somewhere dark. Also, leave some room in your inventory.

Check the Entrance

When you find a dungeon, don't just blindly rush in. First, scope out the entrance and see what you are getting into. Deal with enemies if they are nearby before venturing further.

You don't often need to rush through a dungeon. Take your time looking through it, and check where you're going before you enter another room.

Fight Carefully

See how many enemies are around you. If you have multiple attackers at once, try creating some distance instead of standing in the middle of them.

Stick with the attacks you're most comfortable with and don't be afraid to back away when things get too hectic.

Look Around for Loot

Don’t just take the main road. As you go, check rooms and corners, because away from the path you are taking you may find useful items. A little more looking around can make the trip worth it.

Watch Your Health

Keep an eye on your health as you traverse the dungeon. You can get so caught up in exploration that you forget how much damage you took. If you're running low, don't risk it all.

Know When to Leave

You don’t have to do it all at one time. If you’re running low on supplies or your gear isn’t holding up, go home and come back later. You can always go back with better equipment and try again.
