His ability to control crowds, his positioning, and his defensive gear make him one of the most reliable heroes on the front lines in the game.

Metal Shield Management

Magneto’s shield is one of his most powerful defensive powers. But he has to be careful in using it. Turn it on to protect teammates from being hurt during objective pushes or to stop bursts of incoming damage, rather than leaving it idle.

Stand between your back line and your enemies, so that you can protect as many allies as possible. So, by managing your defensive resources carefully you can make sure your team has the protection it needs when it needs it most.

Crowd Control Combinations

Protecting Teammates

Magneto's main duty is to protect the survival of his defenseless comrades. Position yourself close enough to your Duelists and Strategists to intercept enemy dive heroes before they reach the backline. Use your defensive skills to create space and stop dangerous attacks when your teammates are under pressure.

A Magneto who is constantly defending his team allows damage dealers to play more aggressively, and allows Strategists to heal, instead of having to defend themselves.
