Here's how to set up the Stingray launcher and fly its drone into enemy vehicles in WARDOGS.
The Stingray is a one-way, explosive anti-armor drone that you steer into a vehicle in WARDOGS. This guide covers what a launch costs, the flight controls, which vehicles to hit, and where to build the launcher. Controls here use mouse and keyboard, and costs reflect Season 2.
Buy and Launch Your First Stingray in WARDOGS
To fly a drone in WARDOGS, load a Stingray launcher with ammo. It starts empty, so bring mechanical supplies. A pallet reportedly covers two shots, and the Mechanical Supply Pallet now unlocks at WARDOG level 5 for $10,000 in Season 2.
Each drone costs $5,000 and 900 mechanical supplies, which the menu lists as spare parts. The firing range shows the price as $0, but live matches charge the full amount.

Press B at the console to open the purchase menu and buy a drone. F enters the launcher, which shows how many drones are loaded, 0/1 when empty. A launcher holds one active drone at a time.
Once the drone loads into the barrel, press mouse one to fire. The drone climbs straight up until it levels out.
Read the Stingray HUD
Speed sits at the bottom left, and altitude sits on the right, measured from ground level or sea level. Your compass bearing runs across the center.

A label under the center reads HOLD with no target, ARMING while the lock builds, and ARMED when it's ready. The four flight controls are listed on the right side of the screen.
The battery bar matters most. At zero, the drone drops into the ground and you lose it.
Fly and Lock On
Steer with the mouse to bank left or right and pitch up or down, or use W, A, S and D. Practice in the firing range first, so you don't spend real money.
Hold Ctrl to brake. Braking tightens your turns and adds a little zoom, which helps you spot far targets.

Hold Left Alt to free look and scan for targets without changing your heading. Hold C to eject and return to your character, the same way you leave mortar view.
Line up on a vehicle until the drone arms. If you move your mouse off the target, the lock drops. Once armed, hold Left Shift to boost into it.
Pick Targets Worth the Money in WARDOGS
In WARDOGS, the Stingray works best against two vehicles. Both sit still or follow a predictable path, which suits a drone that turns slowly.
The first is the Spawn Vehicle. It reportedly appears once a team reaches 20 points. Destroying it forces the enemy to reach the zone by transport helicopter or truck, which gives your team an edge and pays you a bounty.

The second is artillery. It damages fobs and can hit targets from over a kilometer outside the zone. A driver who isn't watching the sky is an easy target, and an SPH-2 kill pays $8,000 in Season 2.
Watch the kill feed. When hostile artillery shows up there, launch a drone toward their spawn, listen for shots, and scan for the target square that can appear.
Helicopters come later. They are harder to hit than they look, so build flight experience first.
Build the Stingray Launcher

Build the Stingray inside a fob perimeter. You need the Large Hammer, because the small and medium hammers can't place it. It reportedly unlocks at Support level 8.
Find the Stingray on page 3 of the build menu. The launcher costs 650 supplies in Season 2, though the firing range doesn't show the price.
Point the barrel toward the direction you plan to fire. That way you don't need to turn in the air. Enemies who destroy a launcher earn $650, so hide it or defend it.
Choose a Build Spot in WARDOGS
Where you build in WARDOGS depends on how much risk you want to take. There are three options.

An existing fob inside the zone saves you from buying and stocking your own. You earn zone cash with its multiplier, plus passive income, and teammates nearby can defend you. The downside is counter-artillery and mortar fire. You can die mid-flight and lose your money.
The edge of the zone, ideally in woods, keeps zone cash while hiding your position. You bring your own supplies and you work alone, which leaves you exposed while you fly. One or two squadmates fix that, and it works best with them.
Outside the zone gives you a large area to build, and you can sit next to spawn for quick resupply. You get left alone, but you lose zone cash and control zone income. Each drone costs $5,000 on top of the fob, so a miss costs more, and your team plays one player down.
Stingray Tips for Better Hits
Wait to lock on until you're close. A vehicle that sees you coming can drive away.

Use the brake for tight turns and long-range scouting, and keep an eye on the battery the whole flight.
What to Do Next
Spend a session in the firing range flying, braking, and locking on until the controls feel natural. Then build at the edge of the zone with a squadmate.
Season 2 raised the launcher's cost, so stock your supplies before you build in WARDOGS, and launch at the Spawn Vehicle once your team reaches 20 points.
To use the Stingray in WARDOGS, you build the launcher with the Large Hammer, fly with the brake and free look, arm on the target before you boost, and aim at Spawn Vehicles and artillery.
FAQ
Q. How much does a Stingray drone cost in WARDOGS?
A. Each drone costs $5,000 and 900 mechanical supplies.
Q. What do you need to build the Stingray in WARDOGS?
A. You need the Large Hammer and a spot inside a fob perimeter. The launcher is on page 3 of the build menu and costs 650 supplies in Season 2.
Q. How many drones can a launcher hold?
A. One active drone at a time.
Q. How do you leave the Stingray before it hits?
A. Press C mid-flight and your view returns to your character, the same way you leave mortar view. The drone reportedly keeps flying on its last heading.
Q. What happens when the Stingray’s battery runs out?
A. The drone drops into the ground once the bar reaches zero, and you lose the $5,000 and 900 supplies you spent on it. Boosting and braking reportedly drain the battery faster, so check the bar throughout the flight.
