The Golden Globes ceremony wasn’t as fun as it was last year, but there were some pretty interesting moments that will captivate the Internet for a while.
The Golden Globe Awards were on Sunday, January 11. While his year, I definitely didn’t agree with most of the people who won. There were some pretty good winners, though. I was glad to see Sinners and One Battle After Another get wins.
I was disappointed that Train Dreams didn’t win any Golden Globe awards. Train Dreams was a very complex film, and I think a lot of people are going to love it as time goes on, but not right now.
I don’t think it’s getting the love it deserves. The Golden Globes and Oscars—sometimes they’re spot on, but it’s pretty rare when they are. I think last year was great because Anora was a really good movie, and it deserved to win all the awards it did. But this year, there were a couple of films I had not even heard of, and I try to keep a pretty keen eye on what’s out right now.

As I said, One Battle After Another deserves to win the awards that it was nominated for at the Golden Globes. I was also glad to see Marty Supreme win so many awards, but I was surprised that Uncut Gems, which was more of a cultural milestone film, didn’t seem to win or receive any nominations at the Golden Globes.
Marty Supreme is an awesome film, but it is very similar to Uncut Gems, so I don’t really see how they could give Marty Supreme so many awards but none for Uncut Gems. Not even a nominee at the Golden Globes. But I am glad to see Timothée Chalamet win.
