Genshin Impact: How to Unlock and Use Teleport Waypoints Guide

Here's a quick guide on how to unlock and use Teleport Waypoints in Genshin Impact.

Teleport Waypoints are points of fast travel that are scattered all around Genshin Impact. Once active, they let you get from one part of Teyvat to another quickly, instead of having to walk the whole way. Unlocking them as you go can make questing, farming and general exploring much easier.

Find Teleport Waypoints

Teleport Waypoints are everyplace on the map. Search for signature pillars when you’re scoping out new areas. Some are out in plain sight, while others are in more difficult-to-access places or places that require you to go through quests.

Activate the Waypoint

When you see a Teleport Waypoint, walk up to it and interact with it to activate it. When you activate it, it becomes a fast travel location and will show on your map.

Open the Map

Activate a Waypoint and then check your map to see what you’ve unlocked. Select any unlocked Teleport Waypoint and choose the teleport option to teleport to it. This way you can travel over large areas of Teyvat much faster.

Unlock While You Explore

When you see them, make sure to unlock Teleport Waypoints. More unlocked locations mean more options when traveling from one area to another and that can save you time when doing quests or gathering resources.

Check Hidden Locations

Not all Teleport Waypoints are available at the beginning. Some can be buried underground, behind things or in places related to quests. If you see a waypoint missing from your map, see if you need to advance through a nearby quest or unlock the area first.

Use Them for Quests

Teleport Waypoints are especially handy for quests that send you to various spots on the map. Teleport to the nearest unlocked location and go from there, instead of walking the entire way.

Use Them While Farming

Teleport to the nearest available location while collecting materials or entering Domains and fighting enemies. You can speed up many of the repetitive farming routes by unlocking waypoints near your usual hangouts.
