Here’s how to build friendship with items you collect instead of buy in Moonlight Peaks.
Many characters in Moonlight Peaks will take something you picked up at no cost, as long as it’s the right item. This guide sorts gifts by where they come from, so you know what to save before you sell.
Hold On to Forageables in Moonlight Peaks
Keep a stack of each flower and forageable rather than selling them. In Moonlight Peaks, part of nearly every character’s liked list grows wild around the map.
Flowers by Color
Purple flowers rarely miss. Most residents who don’t love them still like them, from Elvira and Evan to Ridge and the Moon Goddess.

Some single flowers earn more. A Red Rose is a loved gift for Elvira, and Death loves a Black Azalea, which grows at Misty Shores and Moonlit Pines in summer.
Persephone loves nearly every flower, along with a Custom Bouquet. Winston loves a Blue Azalea, and Jada likes a White Rose.
Crops From Your Farm in Moonlight Peaks
Berries cover a lot of liked gifts from one crop. Persephone and Winston like both Strawberries and Raspberries, Sabrina likes Raspberries, and Aras and Luna like Strawberries.

Blueberries and Blood Grapes reportedly please Dragan, Ludo, and Ridge as liked gifts, and Viktor reportedly likes Blood Grapes too. Beer makes a liked gift for Death, Ludo, Saga, and Pumpkin Head, so one stack covers four residents.
Mushrooms, Wood, and Fish
Pick up every mushroom you pass. Aras loves Mushroom Stew, and Viktor reportedly likes mushrooms on their own. Ridge reportedly likes a piece of Wood, a nod to his carpentry. Noel likes any fish you catch.
Dig Spots and Diamonds in Moonlight Peaks
In Moonlight Peaks, the glowing circles you dig with a shovel each day turn up trash and, now and then, a Diamond. With mining added, six or seven Diamonds came up within a week in one run.

That makes Diamonds easier to give than their price suggests. Llemi loves one, which helps since he shows up less often than most.
Copy Death’s Drink
At Death’s first heart event in Moonlight Peaks, he orders Gluhwein when you meet for a drink. Pick the same drink, and a bottle reportedly lands in your inventory after the scene. Death loves Gluhwein, so you can hand it right back to him the next day.
Gifts to Keep Away From
Evan and Mina reportedly react badly to alcohol, which ties to their father’s drinking. Keep wine and Beer away from both. Dragan reportedly dislikes seaweed and fish, and giving either costs friendship.

What to Do Next
Before you sell a haul, set aside one flower of each color and a few berries. Plant a row of Strawberries and Raspberries if your farm has room. Dig every glowing circle you pass, and remember Death’s drink choice when his first heart event comes up.
Flowers, berries, and dig spots supply most of the gifts you need, so hold on to them instead of selling.
