Here's how Scrap Tea works in Rust.

Scrap Tea gives you a temporary boost to how much scrap you get from barrels, which makes it worth brewing up before a dedicated loot run. It comes in three tiers, each stronger and longer-lasting than the last, so knowing which one to brew for a given run can save a lot of wasted berries. The catch is it only works on barrels specifically, so it's not a universal scrap booster.

There are three tiers of Scrap Tea: Basic, Advanced, and Pure. Basic increases scrap gained by 100%, Advanced by 225%, and Pure by 350%, with higher tiers also lasting longer. This bonus only applies to barrels specifically -scrap found in crates or boxes isn't affected by any tier of Scrap Tea.

Crafting the Teas

A Mixing Table is required to craft Scrap Tea. Basic Scrap Tea needs 2 Yellow Berries and 2 White Berries, Advanced requires 4 Basic Scrap Teas, and Pure requires 4 Advanced Scrap Teas. This means reaching Pure Scrap Tea requires a fairly large berry farming investment, though buying teas from other players is also an option if farming isn't preferred.

Effects Don't Stack

Drinking multiple tiers of Scrap Tea doesn't combine their bonuses. Only the most recently consumed tea applies, so drinking a Basic tea after a Pure tea resets the bonus down to Basic's weaker effect.

Which Tier to Prioritize

Farm toward crafting Pure Scrap Tea whenever possible, since its 350% bonus far outweighs Basic or Advanced teas, and always drink it last before a farming run since effects don't stack.

Scrap Tea in Rust is a strong barrel-farming boost, but only the most recent tea consumed actually applies.
