Terraria: How to Find and Use the Shimmer Guide

The Shimmer is a unique pool of liquid in Terraria with abilities that normal water and lava lack. It can transform many items into others, transform them into alternate forms. It can also affect players and NPCS.

Find the Aether

The Aether is a special underground area that generates in the same world as the Jungle and contains the Shimmer. It is usually on the same side of the world as the Jungle, so start searching underground in that direction.

Locate the Shimmer Pool

Once you reach the Aether, find its large pool of Shimmer. It’s a very distinctive area, and you can tell once you learn what to look for. Venture forth with caution; the Aether remains an underground area teeming with enemies and hazards.

Bring Useful Supplies

Throw Items into Shimmer
