Here's a quick guide on the best Echoes for every Resonators in Wuthering Waves.
Echoes are an essential component in building Resonators in Wuthering Waves. A good build for Echo can make a world of difference for the damage, healing, energy regeneration or general utility of a character. The sheer volume of Echoes and Sonata Effects, however, can make the selection process a bit confusing, especially for new players.
Understanding Echo Roles
Before you choose an Echo, decide what you want your Resonator to do. DPS characters typically want to maximize the amount of damage they do, whereas Sub-DPS characters want to specialize in large burst damage that can easily be integrated into their attack sequences. Generally, buffs, heal and energy regen or utility is better for healing and support roles.
Echoes for Main DPS
Main DPS Resonators should focus on maximizing their main damage output. Element-specific Sonata Effects are often a good choice, as they directly boost the character’s elemental damage.
For aggressive sets, prioritize CRIT Rate, CRIT DMG, ATK% and the corresponding element damage bonus. The main Echo that you should have should be one that works well with your rotation, and maximizes your time on field.

Echoes for Sub-DPS
Sub-DPS characters generally spend less time on the field, so their Echo should deal a lot of damage but without a long set-up. Burst-centric Echo abilities are particularly good for characters that are quick to get in, use their abilities, and return to the main DPS.
Echoes for Supports and Healers
Healers and support roles have different priorities. Don’t just look for offensive stats, look for Echoes that can provide team boosts, healing, energy regeneration or other helpful effects.
Healers tend to prefer consistent healing and consistent uptime on their abilities over trying to maximize their own damage output. A support Echo that contributes to the overall effectiveness of the team can be much more beneficial than one that merely increases the user’s damage output.
Sonata Effects and Stats
Sonata Effects are always considered when building an Echo set. A good combination can provide a useful advantage, whereas a selection of five random Echoes, with good individual qualities, might not do as well.
For most damage dealing Resonators, priority stats are Critical Rate, Critical Damage, ATK% and relevant elemental damage. However, some characters are affected by HP, DEF or other stats, so it is a good idea to check their abilities before you spend resources on them.

Don’t Invest Too Much Too Early
Perfect Echoes can take a lot of time and resources to get. Focus first on getting the right set and good main stats, don’t worry about perfect substats. Once your characters are sufficiently developed, you can gradually replace lower-level Echoes and improve your setups.
