Here's a quick guide on how to get better Echo Stats in Wuthering Waves.
For Wuthering Waves, you will want to have high Echo stats to maximize your Resonators’ damage and overall performance. Echoes have bad stat rolls, the best Sonata set in the world is not going to shine. Farming and upgrading and knowing to keep the right things will help you build powerful characters more efficiently.
Focus on Super Rare Echoes
As you level up your Data Bank, you will unlock higher rarity Echoes, which have a better potential for stats. When you can, farming Gold Echoes should be your priority, as they have the best main stats and best substat potential. Lower rarity Echoes are only useful in early progression stages, so it’s not worth spending resources on them.
Choose the Right Main Stats
The most important part of an Echo is its main stat. Critical Rate, Critical Damage, Attack%, or the relevant Elemental Damage Bonus is the best option for most damage dealers.
Support characters may opt for Energy Regeneration, Healing Bonus, or HP, depending on the character's abilities. Always align the main stat with your Resonator’s role instead of choosing the highest number available.

Look for Good Substats
Additional substats become unlocked when tuning an upgraded Echo. Ideally you want lots of offensive sub stats that work well together. Many characters benefit most from Critical Rate, Critical Damage, Attack% and Energy Regeneration. Echoes are usually best replaced with better options rather than re-rolling defensive substats over and over.
Complete Your Sonata Collection
Great stats are excellent, but they shouldn’t come at the cost of your Sonata Effect. Full sets give powerful bonuses that often give more damage overall than mixing random Echoes with slightly better individual stats. Farm until you get both the correct set and adequate stat rolls.
Selective Upgrades
Only upgrade Echoes that already have a good main stat, and are from the correct Sonata set. Make sure that the Echo is still worth investing in as new substats are unlocked. If a bunch of undesirable stats come up early, generally it is more resource efficient to stop upgrading and move on to a different piece.

Farm Efficiently
Most of the quality echoes are from elite enemies, world bosses and Tacet Fields. If you keep farming these activities, you will increase your chances of getting the correct Sonata set with the desired stat combinations. Furthermore, upgrading your Data Bank will improve the quality of future drops, making every farming session more rewarding.
Have Patience with RNG
It takes time to get perfect Echoes. An Echo with a weaker substat or two may still be better than a brand-new replacement. Focus on incremental improvements and not immediate perfect rolls, and only swap out old Echoes when you find a demonstrably better option.
