Here's a quick guide on how to farm Echo of War in Honkai: Star Rail.
Honkai: Star Rail also has a weekly boss system, Echo of War, where you can fight powerful enemies from the game’s story to earn valuable upgrade materials.
These battles are particularly important because they grant you advanced Trace materials required for higher-level character Traces, as well as other rewards including Relics, Light Cone materials, Lucent Afterglow, and Credits.
Finish Your Weekly Runs
You can claim an Echo of War reward up to three times a week, and each time it costs 30 Trailblaze Power. After that you can fight the bosses more often (but you will not get rewards for additional fights). The weekly claims are capped, so be sure to use all three before the weekly reset.

Pick the Right Boss
Not all Echo of Wars are equally good for your account. Check out what level Trace materials your characters need prior to spending Trailblaze Power. Instead of just picking a random fight, stick to the boss that drops the materials for the characters you are currently building. This way you won’t end up with materials you might not need.
Farm on the Hardest Difficulty
In general, the higher your Equilibrium Level, the better Echo of War rewards you’ll get, so it’s best to farm the highest difficulty you can comfortably handle. The harder the difficulty the better the odds at the good stuff and the more your limited weekly attempts are worth. But don’t let a key character upgrade stop you just because you can’t quite clear the highest difficulty comfortably yet.
Trailblaze Power Management
Each Echo of War reward costs 30 Trailblaze Power to claim, so claiming three weekly is a pretty small investment compared to a lot of other farming activities. Echo Of War is a weekly event. Make it a regular part of your weekly routine. The Trace materials it provides are advanced, and hard to come by using other farming methods.

No Need To Waste Extra Tries
You can still fight in Echo of War battles for achievements or practice after claiming your three weekly rewards, but there's no reason to spend Trailblaze Power on them as there are no further rewards to be earned. Save the rest of your Power for Trace materials, character ascension, EXP, or Relics.
Best Echo of War Strategies
The most basic approach is to look at your characters at the start of each week, figure out what advanced Trace materials you need, and spend your three reward claims accordingly. Pay attention to the characters you actively use, especially your main DPS and important supports.
Consistently completing all three weekly claims will ensure you have a steady supply of advanced Trace materials and that your character upgrades won’t be blocked in the future.
