Neverness to Everness: How to Use the Fishing System Guide

Here's a quick guide on how to unlock and use the Fishing System in Neverness to Everness.

Fishing is a Hethereau Hobby in Neverness to Everness. The Sea Angler system allows you to catch different types of fish to earn Fons and Scale Points, while raising your Fishing Level and taking a break from combat and story missions.

Unlock the Fishing System

Fishing is unlocked through the City Tycoon system. The Sea Angler hobby becomes accessible once you reach City Tycoon Level 3. Once you have unlocked it, open your in-game phone, go to the City Tycoon menu, choose Hethereau Hobbies and select Sea Angler.

Find a Place to Fish

Choose Sea Angler and then select the Go Fishing option. The game can point you to a nearby fishing spot, so finding your first spot is easy. You can also find fishing spots all around Hethereau and make your own way there.

Choose Your Rod & Bait

First, select your fishing rod and bait. Rods affect the strength of your fishing line, and the weight of fish you can catch, while different types of bait can improve your chances of luring in particular species. If you're a beginner, it's best to get started using standard equipment before spending a lot of money on specialized gear.

Finish the Fishing Minigame

When you throw your line, wait for a fish to bite. Once you get hooked, a meter shows up on the screen with a green zone moving. Reduces the fish's stamina by controlling your indicator and keeping it in the green area. You have to keep them lined up for the fish to run out of stamina before your fishing line runs out of durability.

Sell Your Catch

The fish you catch will go into your Fish Hold and can be sold through the fishing interface. You sell fish and get Fons and Scale Points to buy stuff and upgrades relating to fishing. Watch the Fish Market as some species can be marked as a high demand catch and earn significantly better returns.

Better Your Fishing Skills

Each successful catch will reward you with Fishing Experience. Fishing often will allow you to level up your Fishing Level, unlocking better equipment and more valuable catches. City Stamina isn’t used when you fish; so you can keep fishing if you want to save City Stamina for other things.

Farewell Tips

The best way to make use of the fishing system is to fish regularly, learn how to control the reel-in minigame, and save specialized bait for valuable or sought-after species.

Upgrade your fishing gear at the Fish Market before each session as your Fishing Level increases, and build up Scale Points from your catches to make future upgrades.
