Here's a quick guide on how to improve your damage in Wuthering Waves.
In Wuthering Waves, it’s not just better gear for more damage. Your total damage is determined by your Resonator level, Forte skills, Echoes, team setup, and combat rotation. Getting the right upgrades improves your character's damage and saves resources.
Level Your Resonators
Level your Main DPS up correctly. Higher levels will increase their stats and unlock higher ascension stages. After your Main DPS, invest in the Sub-DPS and Supports that will add the most damage to your team. You don’t have to destroy every character completely.
Upgrade Forte Skills
Most Resonators rely heavily on forte skills, which can greatly increase damage output. Concentrate on the skills your character utilizes most frequently in their rotation. Don't evenly upgrade every node, put your resources into important damage abilities.

Use Better Weapons
A good weapon can make all the difference in the world. Main DPS characters want generally CRIT Rate, CRIT DMG, ATK%, or strong DMG-focused passives. 5-star Signature weapons are great, but good 4-star and regular 5-star weapons can be good too. Use weapons that complement your Resonator, not just the highest rarity.
Improve Your Echoes
One of the biggest causes of damage is echoes. Make sure you use the right Echo set and main stats for your Resonator. For those who deal damage, prioritize CRIT Rate, CRIT DMG, ATK%, and element damage bonuses that suit them. You do not need perfect Echoes at this time. "Get better pieces and replace the weaker ones.
Build a Strong Team
The synergy in the team can boost your damage massively. Support/Sub-DPS characters are used to buff, debuff, or attack in concert with the Main DPS. Your Main DPS’ most damaging window is your rotation’s backbone. Get key buffs up before switching to them.

Improve Your Rotation
Even powerful builds can perform poorly with bad rotations. Know when to use each character’s Skill, Liberation, Intro Skill and Outro Skill. Don’t waste buffs or swap characters willy-nilly. Practice your rotation until your highest abilities line up with your main damage window consistently.
Use Enemy Openings
Be wary of attacks and enemy mechanics. Effective dodging, successful counters and attacking during safe openings can increase your damage while keeping your team alive. You can do more total damage against tough enemies by staying alive than by constantly attacking and getting interrupted.
Last Tips
To boost your damage, focus on Resonator levels, Forte upgrades, weapons, Echoes, team synergy, and combat rotations. Focus on your Main DPS first and then upgrade the characters that support them. You don’t need perfect gear to do serious damage. A well-built team can be vastly improved with regular upgrades and a practiced rotation.
