Here's a quick guide on how to use the Sensor effectively in Wuthering Waves.
Sensor is a helpful utility item in Wuthering Waves that can help you locate hidden items, resources, enemies, and other points of interest. If you know how to use it properly, it can make exploration easier and help you find items that you may otherwise miss.
Unlock the Sensor
The Sensor is unlocked during the early main story through the Echoing Marche quest. In this challenge, you'll use the Sensor to track a patrol path. Once unlocked, you can freely equip and use the tool while exploring.
Sensor Equipment
On PC, hold down Tab to open the Utility Wheel and select the Sensor. Press T to activate when equipped. Controller and mobile players can select the Sensor with their respective utility controls.
Use It During Quests
Some quests require the Sensor to reveal clues or track a target. When activated, it can display visual traces or holographic images of the way you have to go. If you follow these clues, you will go straight to your goal.

Locate Hidden Chests
The Sensor is particularly useful during exploration. Switching it on will help locate Supply Chests nearby (even if they are hidden behind environmental objects or are not obvious). Use it whenever you think an area is full of unexplored rewards.
Find Resources
When you enter new areas use the Sensor to find nearby collectibles and resources. This can help you find materials needed for character upgrades, so you don’t have to manually search every part of the environment.
Recognize Enemies
The Sensor also gives useful information about nearby enemies. Sometimes when you scan an enemy you will get info about it like level and other info. This enables you to better prepare your team prior to entering an encounter.

Use It for Puzzle
Also, the Sensor can be useful in some of the exploration puzzles. It can show links, clues or important objects that are hard to identify normally. If you're stuck on an environmental puzzle, turning on the Sensor could highlight something you need to examine.
Summary Notes
The Sensor is not a quest-specific item. Use it often while exploring to find hidden chests, resources, enemies and puzzle objectives. You can add it to your exploration routine to explore more of the world and collect valuable rewards without having to waste time searching manually.
If you could successfully learn how to use the Sensor efficiently, playing Wuthering Waves and progressing in it will become a lot more easier. Once you have progressed far enough, your account will be a lot stronger than before.
