Here's a quick guide on the best gears for beginners in Neverness to Everness.
Most of the gear you get early into Neverness to Everness can immensely ease combat if you pick the right equipments. No need for rare equipment. Beginners will advance much faster by gearing up with useful stats and upgrading it consistently as they proceed through the story, instead of chasing high-rarity items right away.
Prioritize Higher Rarity Gear When Possible
Gear of varying rarities can be found while exploring Hethereau and completing missions. Higher-rarity pieces generally have better base stats and better bonuses, so are worth upgrading even if the secondary stats aren’t ideal.
But, don’t waste all your upgrade materials on gear you’ll soon replace. Early you want to gear just enough to help you clear story content.
Offensive Stats Are for Damage Dealers
Offensive gear is most beneficial to your main damage dealer. The equipment that gives the biggest boost to your overall team is that which increases Attack, Critical Rate, Critical Damage or damage bonuses.
Rather than spreading your best gear across all your characters, concentrate on the one that sees the most field time. A properly staffed main DPS can take your team far in the early game.

The Support Characters Also Have Utility Stats.
You don’t always need the highest Attack characters to support. Instead, gear that enhances Energy regeneration, cooldown reduction, survivability, or supportive effects tends to be more valuable.
Keeping your support characters alive will allow them to use their buffs, healing, shields, and crowd control more regularly, making tough encounters much easier to overcome.
Upgrade Your Gear Gradually
Upgrading equipment makes it more effective, but you can be limited in upgrade materials in your first several hours of play. Rather than maximizing every new item you get, only upgrade the pieces you use.
Once you start getting more powerful gear from later content, you’ll be able to upgrade your earlier gear without feeling like you’re wasting resources.
Equip Your Character for Its Role
There is no single best set of gear for everyone, as every character plays a different role in battle. Offensive characters should use equipment that will help boost their damage, defensive characters should use equipment that will help keep them alive, and support characters should use equipment that will help them be more useful.
A few minutes spent getting a character’s equipment matched to the desired role will usually do a better job than simply equipping the highest-numbered item available.

Advancement to Better Gear
As you progress through the Main Story, increase your Hunter Level, and unlock tougher activities, the quality of gear naturally improves. Daily content, boss encounters and other progression systems slowly reward stronger equipment and give you plenty of opportunities to replace your early-game pieces.
For this reason, avoid excessive farming in the opening chapters. Generally, it is much more effective to build up powerful characters by getting to later content first.
