Aniimo: How to Level Up Your Aniimo Guide

Here's a quick guide on how to level up your Aniimo in Aniimo.

Playing through Idyll will naturally level up your Aniimo, but you can also level up your Aniimo yourself when you want to give one of your Aniimo a boost. This is very useful if you have an Aniimo you like to use and want to keep its value as you progress into more difficult parts of the game.

Check Your Aniimo's Level

Select the Aniimo you want to level up. You can see its current level, along with other information, from the Aniimo Management menu. If you've been using the same Aniimo for a while, it's a good idea to check its level once in a while.

Use EXP Items

The primary method of leveling up a single Aniimo directly is to use EXP items. From the Management menu, choose the Aniimo and enter its Attributes screen. You can use your available EXP items to raise its level here. This is useful if you want to level a specific Aniimo up quickly without waiting for it to gain enough experience naturally.

Get EXP While Playing

You can also earn Aniimo EXP through normal gameplay. Quests, open-world battles and catching Aniimo can all give experience, so you don't always need to stop what you're doing just to work on levels.

If you're already exploring somewhere new, you might as well let your Aniimo take part in battles and catches along the way.

Watch Your Own Level

Your Aniimo's level can't go higher than your own Pathfinder level. If your Aniimo seems to have stopped leveling, check your own level before assuming something is wrong.

Your Pathfinder level increases through Safaris, which you can earn from different activities around Idyll. Main story progress, Elite Training, Daily Activities and first-time catches can all help with this.

Don't Forget Your Other Aniimo

It's easy to get attached to one Aniimo and put all your EXP items into it. That's fine if it's the one you use most, but having a few reasonably leveled Aniimo gives you more options.

You don't need to level every Aniimo you own equally. Focus on the ones you actually use and bring the others up when you have a reason to.

Keep Progressing

Leveling isn't the only way to make an Aniimo stronger. Other systems can further improve them as you progress, so don't feel like you need to put everything into levels right away.

Final Tips

Use EXP items when you want to level a specific Aniimo, and let quests, battles and catching provide extra EXP while you play. If your Aniimo can't level any further, check your Pathfinder level. Keep your main Aniimo up to date and work on the others when you need them.
