Here's a quick guide on how to clear Apocalyptic Shadow Guide in Honkai: Star Rail.
Apocalyptic Shadow is one of the hardest endgame modes in Honkai: Star Rail. This is different from regular combat, as it rewards teams that are able to do damage, while efficiently breaking enemy Toughness. The trick to getting high scores is figuring out boss mechanics and building your teams to exploit their weaknesses.
Build the Right Teams
Build your teams around a Main DPS, Support and Sustain, and the last slot varies by boss. Don’t just put your best characters together. Teams with good synergy and matching elements can work better than a team of individually powerful characters.
Match Enemy Weaknesses
Scout out the boss’s weak spots before you pick your team. It is much easier to break Toughness with characters that can effectively target those weaknesses. Weakness Breaking can open up important damage windows and can help to interrupt dangerous mechanics. Break effects are especially effective if you have characters built specifically around that, and particularly if their elements match that of the boss.
.
Learn the Boss Mechanics
Each Apocalyptic Shadow boss has unique mechanics that can greatly affect the fight. Read the stage info, watch out for special phases, summoned enemies and unique attacks. Don’t always look directly at the boss. Depending on the encounter, you can make the fight much easier either by taking out summoned enemies or by performing certain mechanics first.
Manage Skill Points
In longer battles, handling Skill Points is important. Make sure your Main DPS has enough Skill Points to sustain their rotation. Supports should also be using their Skills when their buffs are worth the time and effort and not just throwing them out there for the sake of it with no real gain.
Use Ultimates Carefully
Don’t just pop an Ultimate as soon as it comes up. Holding it for a Weakness Break, big damage window, or risky phase can net a lot more value. But don't keep holding onto Ultimates, either. If it breaks Toughness, kills an opponent, or prevents damage coming in, it's generally best to use one right away.

Refine Your Builds
Make sure your characters are the right Light Cones, Traces, Relics and character levels. Don't try to max everything out, but focus on the stats that will help each character directly. Your Sustain should also be high enough to keep the team alive without constantly eating Skill Points or taking pointless turns.
Summary Points
With Weakness Breaking, mechanics, team synergy and rotations your Apocalyptic Shadow clears will be much better. Pick your teams according to the boss rather than sticking to the same comp for all stages. Try switching your team or improving your Break efficiency before spending big on upgrades.
