Here's a quick guide on how to clear Memory of Chaos in Honkai: Star Rail.
Memory of Chaos is one of the most difficult permanent combat modes in Honkai: Star Rail. Enemies have high stats and strict turn limits, so team building and efficient rotations are extremely important. It doesn’t require perfect characters to clear, but it does require well-built teams and a good understanding of the enemies you’re facing.
Build Two Strong Teams
Memory of Chaos has multiple teams, so concentrate on two full teams instead of distributing resources all over your roster. Typically, a team should consist of a Main DPS, a Support, a Sustain, and a flexible fourth character. Make sure each team can reliably deal damage and survive tough encounters. When you have good synergy on a team.
Match Enemy Weaknesses
Check the enemies on every floor before selecting your teams. Targeting their weaknesses can make breaking Toughness much easier and can create more opportunities to do damage. If possible, choose characters whose elements and mechanics counter the enemies on that floor naturally.

Prioritize Character Builds
Your characters should have the appropriate leveled Light Cones, Traces, Relics, and character levels. Your Main DPS should have good offensive stats and your Supports should have enough speed, energy or whatever stat is relevant for them to be able to use their abilities consistently. Your Sustain should be reliable enough to keep the team alive without burning too many turns.
Optimize Your Rotations
Fast clears are rewarded by Memory of Chaos so efficient rotations are very important. Don't activate abilities randomly, use buffs and debuffs at the right time. Use Support buffs and debuffs beforehand to try to maximize your Main DPS’ strongest damage windows. Use your Skill Points carefully so that your team doesn’t run out of resources at the wrong time.
Use Ultimates Wisely
Don't use your Ultimate the moment you get it. Sometimes saving it for the next enemy wave or weakness break, or a major damage window can save valuable turns. But don’t hold Ultimates too long. If waiting one doesn't give a meaningful advantage, using it right away can be more efficient.

Improve Your Teams Gradually
If you are not able to get the desired clear time, do not keep restarting without changing something. Spotting what's holding your team back. You might need better Relics, stronger Traces, better Speed tuning or a different team composition.
Final Tips
Focus on two strong teams, enemy weaknesses, effective rotations, correct builds, and resource management. This will allow you to always clear Memory of Chaos. Don’t be hung up on perfect Relics. Make synergistic characters, and customize your teams for each stage. With enough investment and practice, you’ll gradually clear more stages and get better rewards.
